One’s true essence, diversity and panentheism

 

Black? No you are not black.

Caucasian, Asian, Indian? No, you are none of these.

Tall, short, mentally challenged, beautiful, ugly, fat, skinny, homosexual, heterosexual, genius, ...? No, you are none of these!!

The characteristics above simply describe the machine you occupy as you travel through this life.

Your true essence is ethereal in nature.

You are made in the image of the Creator of the universe and the Creator has no physical characteristics since before creation of the physical, before the creation of the physical universe within which the physical is contained.

Panentheism describes what it is the physical universe lies within.

The physical lies within the physical universe and the physical universe lies within the non-physical.

The Creator of the physical is non-physical in nature, is ethereal in nature and as such your essence, made in the image of the Creator of the physical is ethereal in nature, lacks the characteristics we ascribe to ourselves as we traverse our present situation.

Until we recognize our true essence being ethereal in nature we will continue to ascribe physical characteristics to ourselves and as such we will continue to hold value to said characteristics, some characteristics being purported to be of more value than others.

The only resolution possible to the persistent assignment of relative value to physical characteristics is to find a means of rationalizing the true essence of the individual being spiritual in nature as oppose to being physical in nature.

The only means of providing the proof beyond a reasonable doubt of said perception is through the rational arguments panentheism provides regarding our spiritual nature.

As simplistic as it may appear, panentheism is the means by which we as individual, we as a species, are able to make the perceptual leap necessary to totally revolutionize our issues regarding relative value of the individual based upon physical characteristics.

It is time for us to significantly initiate the rationality necessary to change of religious, scientific and philosophical perceptions regarding who we are, what we are, where we are, why we exist and how it is we came to be.

Individuals on a mass scale are the means of creating the movement to generate this change. The process of generating this change can only be accomplished by working from the inside of all established organizations presently holding society together be they religious, scientific or philosophical in nature.

Plato (427-347 B.C.)  - Q1: What is the purpose and meaning of life?

… According to Plato, an ideal society would be ruled by an elite, an elite skilled in the art of reason: the philosophers. There would be two other classes within that society: the warriors, who would protect the society from external threats, and the working population. Neither the philosophers nor the warriors would be allowed to own property

The three classes – philosophers, warriors, and workers - have a purpose, which adds meaning to their life, but what is the purpose of each class and why is it significant?

Within present day society there is no rational universal answer to such questions, no answer steeped in reason. In society, throughout human history, the answers to these questions have had only one constant characteristic – change. The answer has constantly been in flux depending upon the perceptual means one uses to examine the question. If one uses science/observation the answer becomes: One exists to continue the species. If one uses religion/faith the answer becomes: One exists to serve the Creator of the physical universe. If one uses philosophy/reason the answer becomes: One exists to be happy. Even such answers vary depending upon the branch/school/group within which one stands as the question is asked and depending upon the time in history one stood within a particular branch/school/group.

In short, humanity has never found ‘an’ answer to the question. Humanity has been unable to define the function and meaning of life for Plato’s three classes and humanity has been unable to define the function and meaning of life as it pertains to the individual.

Why have we been unable to reach a consensus as to the meaning and purpose of life. The answer becomes obvious with the examination of human history. We have been unable to reach a consensus regarding the meaning and purpose of life because we have not applied Ockham’s Razor to the problem and we have not applied Ockham’s Razor to the problem because each of the three means of our perceiving, science/observation – religion/faith – philosophy/reason, have refused to ‘let go’ of their most cherished principles in order to begin the process.

Panentheism releases our three means of percieving from their dogmatic stands and having done so discovers that all three means of developing perceptions have their own role to play in terms of verifying the validity of panentheism.  Panentheism, in turn, provides meaning and purpose to the very existence of the three classes:
  1. The philosophers/scientists/theists are to discver and create newc truths

  2. The warriors are to protect and defend civilizations as they function to create.

  3. The working population is to maintain civilizations as they function to create.

     

    The purpose of all three classes becomes: To circumvent the nightmare of eternal recurrence.

     

As a species, we have three means of developing perceptions of ‘truth’. We form perceptions through observation/science, faith/religion, and reason/philosophy. If the three disagree as to what is true and what is not true, conflict arises. If the three come to a consensus regarding what truth is, then the ‘truth’ upon which they agree becomes the strongest form of ‘truth’. This work, The War and Peace of a New Metaphysical Perception, provides overwhelming evidence that the three not only can come to a consensus but have unconsciously come to a consensus regarding the make-up of reality.

The three means we have of developing perception - science/observation, religion/faith, philosophy/reason - agree that both the physical and the ethereal exist simultaneously and the three agree that the ethereal and the physical have their own unique purpose. The three have formed their own arguments supporting the concept of panentheism and as such concur that the ultimate application of Ockham’s Razor leaves both the ethereal and the physical in place which in turn confirms altruistic action as being the most fundamentally logical form of action/truth.

How does the concept of Homo sapiens - reinforce the concept of panentheism? The concept of Homo sapiens does not reinforce the concept of panentheism.

What is actually taking place is panentheism is reinforcing the concepts of the significance of our genus and species, Homo sapiens.

No ecological niche tied to time, mortality, seems to ‘fit’ our species or ourselves as individuals.

The interrelationships we see around us, that we study through what we call science, tend to indicate all things interact in some form or other. All things seem to fill a niche.

Our bodies are of a physical nature and would, therefore, seem to fill a physical niche.

Awareness, on the other hand, is of an abstract nature and would seem to fill an abstract niche.

Awareness of existence outside the universe is abstract; the existence outside the universe would seem to be abstract.

Therefore, the abstract nature of humanity would seem to fill a niche within the abstract concept of total awareness outside the universe.

Isn’t this what religions have been telling science ever since science has emerged as a means of understanding our place in the universe?

Is science rejecting religion or is religion rejecting science? The feud has been long. The feud has been a bitter one. It is time to end the feud and unite the two bickering parties.

There is so much to do and there may be little time, as palaeomagnetism purports.

The universe may only be temporary, but our true essence, our ethereal selves, could be eternal and we need to act accordingly.
We, as the genus Homo, whose only remaining members are us, Homo sapiens, need to prepare for eternity for we may very well be responsible for eternity itself.

A recent study by the Oxford Martin School and Citi, with OECD data from the World Bank, found that an average of 57 percent of workers around the world are at risk of being replaced by automation.

Automation is not a science fiction concept. Automation is here and spreading rapidly. But human characteristics incorporated into machinery do not stop with manual labor.

Artificial intelligence is growing in exponential terms as opposed to linear terms.

There are some who suggest the rapid development of artificial intelligence is approaching a cataclysmic event for our species, approaching the evolutionary stage of being capable of replacing human capabilities.

This is not a fantasy situation.

This is a real problem for us as individuals and for us as a species.

If we view ourselves as being nothing but a collection of biochemical molecules who’s physical and mental existence is nothing different than an advanced product of the physical, than we as a species and as individuals will find it impossible to rationalize why we as opposed to advanced forms of machines should remain in existence.

Panentheism, the concept that we as individuals are not the physical machine but rather are made in the image of the Creator of the physical universe, that we as physical entities are the physical instrument of a divine spark’s means of traveling through the physical universe, that our purpose is to circumvent the All’s paradox of eternal recurrence provides us a rational dialect capable of defending our place within the universe and thus provides us with the rational means of justifying the concept of our, human, rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness regardless as to who it is challenging those rights be they people in power, people wishing to  gain power over as individuals or be they entities with extremely advanced forms of artificial intelligence.

It is time we begin thinking about the problem of AI and considering the means of circumventing the issue before the crises becomes a cataclysmic event.

The Soul, The Void, The Process

It is panentheism which demonstrates how it is the soul, the image of God/Brahma/the creator of the physical universe is capable of reaching out to touch its creator, touch the creator of the physical universe.

If the universe was created from the void as ancient texts state, the physical universe is a personification of the void.

As such the soul, one’s ethereal self, simply reaches out to the ‘All’ which is, like the soul, ethereal in nature, passes through the physical universe as if physical existence is nothingness, which the physical in essence is to an ethereal existence.

This reaching out, by the soul, through the vast distances of space, is nothing less than a reaching out through a void, reaching out through nothingness, reaching out through nothing, which interprets into the ethereal spark of the individual human having no barrier to accessing the All, having no barrier of billions of light years of distance since distance is a factor of the physical and the physical is simply a personification of the void and thus nonexistent to the image, spark, of the Creator of the physical universe.

If such is the case, then why is it so difficult for humans to feel the presence of the Creator, to directly communicate with the Creator in a two way communication?

The answer: The soul of the individual is smothered by the thousands of physical egos of the physical machine within which the soul is enmeshed.

A goal for the individual then becomes to free the spark of the Creator found within them from that which inhibits the spark’s free access to the All.

The process becomes developing the means of quieting the physical egos.

This process will be the focus of the Sunday’s blogs.

Q: Is Panentheism a religion?

A: Panentheism is not a religion. Panentheism acknowledges what science states:

  1. The universe is expanding: The Big Bang theory

  2. The universe is limited: The universe is limited to the laws of physics

  3. The universe is temporary: Science presently estimates the ‘age’ of the universe is 13 billion years old. Although the scientific age of the universe has been changing to an older estimate of age as science expands its knowledge, science estimates ‘an’ age to the universe nonetheless.

  4. The physical hasn’t always existed: Science estimating an age for for the universe implies a ‘birth’ for the universe.

  5. …

All the above implies an existence ‘outside’ the universe within which the universe since the above implies existence exists without the physical universe.

Panentheism simply states the above.

Panentheism: Pan – all, EN- in, theism- God, Brahma, the creator of the physical universe, existence within which the universe emerges.

Question
If the individual has no significant purpose for existence then just why do we exist?

Introduction
… Overcoming adversity is one of our great desires and one of our great sources of pride…. Nothing is to be earned, ‘welf-esteem’ is to be dispensed to …People are to be mixed and matched by race and sex and whatever else the anointed want to take into account to present whatever kind of picture… This is a vision of human beings as livestock fed by the government and herded and tended by the anointed. … The welfare state is not really about welfare on the masses. It is about the egos of the elites….

Analysis
The model of reality put forward by symbiotic panentheism completely agrees with the concept that humans are more than cattle and should be treated as significant entities within reality. (Shepard, Daniel J, The War and Peace of a New Metaphysical Perception, Vol. II, Tractate 12: Symbiotic Panentheism, Three ultimate paradoxes Global Academic Press, New York 2002.) Symbiotic panentheism rationalizes how it is that humans have significance to the overriding cosmic existence within which the physical universe itself is a part, and thus elevates each individual to a level above cattle.

The welfare state is one, which clearly degrades the individual rather than elevates the individual.

Concepts such as basic food, basic shelter, basic health care, and basic social protections against violence is not welfare but rather simply a recognition of the significance to the individual and acknowledgement of their purpose in reality as reinforced by Thomas Jefferson:

‘We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, …’ (Jefferson, Thomas, Declaration of Independence.)

Life depends upon food, shelter, and medical treatment. The quality and quantity of the food, shelter, and medical treatment is defined by the word ‘basic’. The concept ‘basic’ acknowledges the pragmatic lesson of life, namely: Death is an absolute.

Society does not ‘owe’ any individual prime rib for dinner, a kidney transplant, air conditioning, trash pick-up, toys, beer, …

Society does, on the other hand, ‘owe’ the individual the ‘basics’ and the term ‘basics’ is in turn defined by the unique society within which the individuals find themselves to exist.

Remarks
Whatever society defines the term ‘basic’ to be, one thing basic cannot be is that which suppresses the individual sense of significance for their existence for all individuals have a reason for existing.

With the introduction of the perceptual concept of the physical universe being limited to the physical, being limited to time and space, a rational understanding of the universe being immersed ‘within’ its creator (Pan-EN-theism) a new understanding regarding the whole of reality (see icon free books, generically oriented, panentheism addressing the Whole of Reality) opens up to the field of philosophy.

With the acceptance of a basic premise of science, namely: As with all knowledge, we may not be able to know ‘beyond all doubt’ but we can know ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’… philosophy can now, at the beginning of a new millennium (2000 CE) move beyond the sole task of analyzing language and once again devote itself to its true purpose, namely: Examining the dynamics of reality, the whole of reality.

 With the introduction of a new perception of reality comes a wealth of potentially new philosophically creative ideas. Presently philosophy finds itself endlessly rehashing the old stagnant ideas. The new ideas panentheism introduces to not only philosophy but to religion, science and mathematics has the potential to resolve many of humanity’s oldest paradoxes and introducing new challenging paradoxes capable of once again stimulating human perceptual thought.

Set Theory validates Panentheism

    • What significance does set theory have to us as a species?

      The species is a total summation of the actions of its members. The species takes on a uniqueness generated by its members.

      The first example of a Venn diagram is that composed of one circle which demonstrates the existence of only a physical universe, demonstrates the existence of the lack of a Creator of the physical universe, demonstrates the concept of Atheism.  

      Atheism offers the individual a sense of responsibility only to one’s self. Once the individual dies the individual's awareness is permanently eliminated.

      With Atheism the death of a species leads to the death of that species' collective awareness should that species, such as humankind, have awareness.

      The second example of a Venn diagram  is again composed of one circle. This time the circle demonstrates the existence of a physical universe which itself is the Creator. In this case the physical universe is God/Brahma/... , this is pantheism (not pan-EN-theism).


      If the universe has existed for a time span as science suggests (science estimates the age of the universe is 13 billion years) then the universe will eventually die and  thus eternal existence of the universe is temporary, as religions and the sciences believe. Pantheism offers the species a sense of responsibility only to itself.

      Again once the species dies, all significance for the species also dies. 

      Pantheism has no explanation for 'creation ex nihilio'.

      Venn diagram #3: Eternal existence is a possibility, for something exists beyond the universe. But the Causative Force exists separate from the universe.

      There are two circles drawn where each circle share nothing in common.

      This demonstrates the Creator of the physical universe 'transcending' the physical.

      This is present perception of Western religion.

      In this case doubt exists as to where your soul will go, what your soul is, and what the purpose of your soul is. Doubt also exists as to the value of your fellow humans and to where your soul will finally come to rest.

      Venn diagram #4: The Causative Force exists and nestles the universe, and you along with the it, in Her/His/It's existence . No more doubt. Your body may die, but your awareness, soul, will not.


      This is pan-EN-theism.

      No one can keep your ethereal self, your soul - should you have a soul, out of the Creator for you already exist 'within' the Creator, 'within' Brahma, 'within' God.

      In this case the universe may die, but the awareness generated within it will not. There is no doubt where that awareness would go – into the arms of the Causative Force. You and what you help your species become would be part of the total, a part of the Causative Force.


      This is an evolution are leap in human perception concerning the Whole of Reality.

      This understanding provides something sorely lacking in Western thinking, provides the rational dialectic supporting the argument for human significance and value both within time and beyond time, both in terms of physical existence as well as in terms of the non-physical, in terms of eternity.

      Pan-EN-theism lays the groundwork for our species to justify our continued existence even in the face of advanced AI or extraterrestrial confrontations.

Set theory offers a clear depiction of just what we are, where we are, and why we are. Set theory offers our species purpose, responsibility, hope, and the elimination of doubt.

Set theory clearly demonstrate the significance of Pan-EN-theism to humanity.
